Minulla oli mahdollisuus viettää yksi yö Kuusamossa, Isokenkäisten Klubilla. Tämän lähellä itärajaa sijaitseva majoituskohde on tunnettu loistavasta palvelustaan, historiastaan ja rauhallisesta ympäristöstään. Pääsin kokemaan Kuusamon luonnon rauhan heidän uudessa aurora hutissa.
I had the opportunity to spent one night in Kuusamo at Isokenkäisten Klubi. This hotel located right next to the eastern border of Finland is well known for its hospitality, history, and the surroundings of it. I got the change to experience the tranquillity of the Kuusamo nature by accommodating in their new aurora hut.
Saavuin Isokenkäisten Klubille vietettyäni pari aiempaa päivää Lapissa, eri retkeilykohteissa. Minulle Isokenkäisten Klubin sijainti Kuusamossa, aivan itärajan vieressä oli tuttu. Hyvän ystäväni mökki sijaitsee van 10 minuutin ajomatkan päässä majoituksesta. Isokenkäisten Klubin sijainti onkin mitä mainion, jos haluat päästä erittäin rauhalliseen ja luonnonläheiseen ympäristöön.
I arrived to Isokenkäisten Klubi after spending couple previous days in different locations around Lapland. For me, the location of Isokenkäisten Klubi was familiar since my good friend has summer cottage only 10 minutes’ drive from the hotel. In my opinion, the location of the Isokenkäisten Klubi is great if you want to get out from the hustle to the peaceful and remote nature.
Relaxing in Aurora hut
Isokenkäisten Klubilla on normaalin hotellin lisäksi, mahdollisuus majoittua upeassa aurora hut majoituksessa. Kyseessä on veden päällä kelluva huone, jossa on lasiseinät ja katto. Minulle tuli suurena yllätyksenä kuinka mukava, käytännöllinen ja luonnonläheinen tämä majoitusmuoto on. Aurora hutissa on pieni kaasulla toimiva liesi ja jopa vessa. Laitteistoineen se muistuttaa venettä tai asuntoautoa, mutta siihen yhtäläisyydet jäävätkin.
Rentoutuminen Isokenkäisten Klubin aurora hutissa oli helppoa. Vallitseva hiljaisuus ja ajoittain veden liikkeestä liikahteleva majoitus ovat lyömätön yhdistelmä, joiden avulla pääset levolliseen olotilaan ja saat irrottauduttua arjesta. Suosittelen keittämään aurora hutin kaasuliedellä kupin kuumaa ja asettumaan mukavasti sen miellyttävään sänkyyn ja ihailemaan vallitsevaa luontomaisemaa.
At the Isokenkäisten Klubi you can accommodate in a normal hotel room or in an exotic and close to nature aurora hut accommodation. The aurora hut is a floating construction (room) which has glass ceiling and walls. For me it was big surprise how comfortable and practical the aurora hut was. It also really felt like being part of the nature since you are floating on the lake. You can also find a small gas stove and even a toilet from the aurora hut. They are like boat or camper van appliances but the similarities between those three are limited to those factors.
Relaxation at Isokenkäsiten Klubi’s aurora hut was easy. Dominant silence and occasional movement of the aurora hut caused by the movement of the water, are things that enables you to reach calmness fast and without noticing you are detached from the busy everyday life. I recommend you to boil some water with the gas stove that is in the aurora hut and have a cup of tea or coffee, lay down in the comfortable bed and just let your eyes rest in the surrounding nature.
Service in Isokenkäisten Klubi
Asia, joka teki vierailustani aurora hutissa erityisen ja lämpimän oli palvelu, jota sain. Isokenkäisten Klubi on perheyritys, jolla on pitkä historia ja tämä erinomainen asiakaspalvelu kulkee selvästi suvussa. Omistajat ovat todella mukavia ihmisiä ja he tekivät vierailustani aurora hutissa paremman, mitä osasin odottaa. Kun olet suunnittelemassa seuraavaa matkaasi Pohjois-Suomeen ja Kuusamon alueella, voin erittäin lämpimästi suositella Isokenkäisten Klubia ja myös heidän aurora huttejaan.
One factor that really made my stay at the aurora hut so special and warming was the service that I got. Isokenkäisten Klubi is a family run business and it has a great history, and the customer service runs in the family, no doubt. The owners are lovely people, and they made my stay in their aurora hut even better than I was expecting. When you are looking your next destination around northern parts of Finland and Kuusamo area, I can highly recommend looking up for Isokenkäisten Klubi and also their aurora huts.
